  • 4’500 residence permits B
  • 4’000 short-term permits L
  • Permits for 120 days or up to max. 4
  • consecutive months are not under quota

Quotas for EU/EFTA service providers remain unchanged:

  • 500 residence permits B
  • 3’000 short-term permits L
  • The quota will be released on a quarterly basis.
  • Permits for 120 days or up to max. 4 consecutive months are not under quota.

In addition, the council confirmed quotas for UK citizen:

This quota for the UK is valid for one year and released on a quarterly basis. For the time being, permits for British citizens are not subject to federal approval. Should no agreement on a future migration regime be reached in the course of next year, the separate UK quotas may be integrated into the third country quota for the year 2022.
